After my tire problems and a couple of days of rather forgettable riding, Norway came in like a gale and blew out the cobwebs in style! Once you pass Oslo and really start to hit the fjords the riding and views are magnificent. Winding roads hugging the cliffs, tunnels to blast through, massive elevation changes- the works.
Riding up the mountain passes, the weather cools quickly and above the treeline it can be 20C colder than in the valley you left not 20 minutes before.
Coming down the other side you are greeted with beautiful valleys stretched out before you.
After a great day riding, finding a hotel that matches can be a pain. Finding a fantastic campsite is easy.
One of the joys of riding alone is not having to worry about some of your less than popular food choices. I happen to enjoy fried fish in a spicy tomato sauce for breakfast…
