Continuing our ride North, we lucked out and hit a river crossing with a ferry and town just as it was about time to call it a day.
First things first, we found a place to stay that also happened to have a view of the water- and what we decided would be our breakfast restaurant.
Then I started checking out the ferry… What were those huts? Were they where the people lived?
Hmmm…. Well, maybe the square one, but the others had engines on them and seemed kind of small…
In the morning when we finally crossed the river, all was revealed. The ‘pods’ were just little engine turrets welded to the side of the ferry that the pilots would use to maneuver it around by spinning themselves around the central axis of the pod! Too cool, and just a bit WTF?!
