With a few days of beautiful bays,
and perfect places to camp to enjoy new memories of another perfect day riding,
I realised that New Zealand has one fatal flaw. A blemish every adventure rider will see and have to come to grips with.
It’s too easy.
Honestly, you can’t go wrong. Close your eyes and pick a road, any road, and it will wrap you around its twisting fingers in minutes. Miss the campsite you were looking for and another will appear around the next corner. Talk to a local and your only worries are getting out of there before being convinced to come to dinner and spend the night.
Such a wonderful country to be brought low by such a simple flaw…
